Reversing the Effects of Smoke Damage
A homeowner in Philadelphia was upset when he entered his home to discover that it was filled with smoke. His ceiling and walls had also been affected by what looked like cobwebs but that were actually carbon chains caused by a puffback. A puffback is when smoke and soot are released from a furnace that is leaking oil and doesn’t ignite when it should. The oil vapors eventually build up and then cause soot to blow through the furnace and into the air very quickly.
The fire restoration experts at SERVPRO of Kennett Square/Oxford were able to safely remove all signs of smoke and soot from the home in addition to the carbon chains on the walls and ceiling using our specialized equipment and techniques. They then cleaned and repaired all damages from the smoke and removed the smoke odor. The customer was very satisfied with the clean, fresh look of his home.
