One of our customers in Gap, Pennsylvania called the fire restoration experts at SERVPRO of Kennett Square/Oxford after the logs in his gas fireplace caused smoke and soot to be released into the home.  Our highly trained specialists assessed the issue, discovering that the carpet, blinds, furniture and duct system had been damaged, and that the smoke had left behind an odor.

• Clean your gas logs and fireplace regularly.
• Be sure to open the flue damper so that the flue does not get clogged. This will ensure that smoke and soot do not build up around or inside the fireplace.
• Ensure that your gas logs are safely positioned.
